In November nature turns into all hues of silver, including crystal snowflakes appearing to decorate beautiful Masurian landscapes for a white winter...

Autumn flowers from Masuria

They remaind about dullness and flatness, about one-way stream of time, about our ancestors and us - ancestors for our next generations. Autumn flowers from Masuria pay tribute to all people living in our memories. As a matter of fact, they were brought from China and Japan to Europe in 17th century. Polish singer - Janusz Poplawski, used to sing about "Golden Chrysanthemums" but there're many colours of them, thriving in Poland now.

Memorial parks of Masuria

The past shows a lot of multicultural facts in Masuria today. One of them are Masurian cemeteries. You can find here tombs of Catholics, Protestants, Orthodox Christians and Jews. Until the 19th century small cemeteries had been allowed to exist by almost all churches. Since then only reach families were allowed to posses private mausoleums close to their palaces. Masurians used to celebrate the All Saints' Day in late November. Now we do it here as all the western world does, on 1st November.
